No Clever Title

This may be TMI.

A few months ago, my mom suggested I start charting my cycles. Since I never know when I'll have a period, charting may help me determine any reaccuring patterns. That and I can figure out when I'm ovulating.

So I waited and waited to have a period cause that's the first day I learned. What.. it's been a while since sex ed all right! I found two sites and signed up. I figured between the two, I'll have a pretty decent picture of what's going with my body. Finally, I started last month.

Both calendars showed that I would be fertile 4th of July weekend. I planned on my seduction. Except Wednesday afternoon, I got hit with a bad headache that just would not leave. That and I had trouble sleeping. I felt tired but as soon as I went to bed, I was wide awake. The headache and lack of sleep made me grumpy. Needless to say, I was not in the mood and plans of seduction went down the tubes.

Yesterday, I left work early cause I was just exhausted. I called my mom to let her know i was leaving early. Now that Wednesday right before I got my headache, I had lunch with mom. I don't know how but me ovulating came up.

Mom: So... did you take advantage of Joey this weekend?
Me: Mother...
Mom: What??
Me: No! I had a headache. I wasn't exactly in the mood.
Mom: Your dad used to tell me sex was a cure all. Even for headaches.
Long pause.
Me: Um.. ooooo kaaaay.
Mom: What? He did.
Me: Yeah.. never heard of that. Not sure I wanted to hear that from you but thanks.
Mom: You should have just did it. It would have taken your mind off your headache.

And that's when I said bye and hung up. I am grateful that my mom and I can talk about stuff like this but ya know... some things I just don't want to hear.
